Rehabilitation
before surgery
(prehab)
The better shape you’re in before surgery, the easier it goes and the faster recovery follows.
We prepare the body for surgery so recovery afterward is faster and more predictable.
Leave your number — then pick what suits you: Telegram or a call. No commitment.
/ Why
Why you need
pre-surgery rehabilitation
Less pain and swelling
we ease the acute state the body carries into the operating table.
More mobility, strength and control
the better shape your muscles and joints are in, the easier the surgery itself is on the body.
Readiness for the first movements
we teach in advance the movements you’ll need right after surgery.
Predictable recovery
a stronger, better-prepared client returns to function faster.
/ Who this is for
Which surgeries
we prepare for
Most often it’s:
- knee ligament surgery (ACL), meniscus and cartilage
- knee or hip replacement
- shoulder surgery
- spine surgery
- Achilles tendon and foot
If the date is already set and your surgery isn’t on this list — we’ll still assess the situation and tell you honestly whether we can help in time.
/ What’s included
What’s included
- Kinvent testing — strength, mobility, symmetry; we record the state you enter surgery with
- sessions with a physical therapist — strength, movement control, balance
- blood flow restriction (BFR) training — for when heavy loading hurts or isn’t allowed
- electrical muscle stimulation — when needed, to “wake up” a muscle that’s stopped firing
- working with pain and swelling
- pre-surgery education — crutches, transfers, sleeping positions, first exercises in hospital
- a home exercise program
- a repeat assessment before surgery
Nutrition, vitamins, medication and other conditions are your doctor’s call. We’ll point you to what’s worth discussing with your surgeon or family doctor.

/ Important
Important
about the numbers
Your result before surgery is a limited state, not your true level.
We don’t “bring you back to your pre-surgery numbers”.
We work off norms for your age and type of activity, and your level before the injury. The pre-surgery test exists to show a starting point and track progress.

What we start with
We look at your surgery, the date and your current state — and build the program around that.
We record strength, mobility, symmetry — the state you enter surgery with.
We check movement and pick exercises for your surgery and current state.
How much time is left before surgery, what we’ll manage, what we start with.

/ Proof
What you take
at the first visit
Not an opinion “in words”, but a written report: complaints, examination data in numbers, a conclusion and recommendations. Here are three real ones — different cases.

Real reports. Personal data hidden.
/ how long it takes
HOW LONG
IT TAKES
Depends on the surgery and how much time is left before it:
7–14 days
when the date is already set. Maximum benefit in a short window.
3–4 weeks
the standard program, 2 sessions a week.
6–8 weeks
when surgery can be postponed. We don’t work toward a date but toward numbers: leg strength at least 90% of the healthy side, full range of motion, no swelling.
