WHAT PEOPLE COME
TO YULIIA WITH

The most common request in her practice sounds not like a diagnosis but like «I want to move safely».

  • «I want to fix my posture» — the main request both from people with almost no movement history and from experienced ones
  • «I want to get back in shape, switch my body on and feel it» — that is how a woman of 63 put it
  • After joint surgery: afraid of doing harm, unclear what is allowed yet
  • Sport is over but the body is used to load — it needs a replacement
  • «I want to try something new» — and they stay, fitting the sessions into their schedule
  • Dancers: old injuries that need movement rather than rest

WHAT HER CLIENTS
WRITE

Two Google reviews about reformer sessions. Texts unedited.

«I have been training at Dynamica for a few months after giving birth. I really like the reformer sessions with Yuliia — everything is precise, safe and takes my condition into account. There is already a good result, my body has toned up, and I feel happy and full of energy after the sessions.»

/ first session

WHAT THE FIRST
SESSION LOOKS LIKE

An hour one on one. No general flow and no «give it a try and we will see».

  • 0–10 min

    Conversation

What bothers you, what you have tried, whether there is a diagnosis and limits from a doctor, what you want from your body. The goal is set here, not after the tenth session.

  • 10–30 min

    How you move

Posture, joint mobility and how the body holds itself in simple movements. From there it is clear where to start and what not to give yet.

  • 30–60 min

    Reformer

How the springs work, how to lie down, how to breathe, how to stop if something feels off. Basic movements — and it is immediately clear that Pilates is not about «easy».

  • after that

    Schedule

How many times a week and at what pace. No prepaid packages.

/ the mistake

«WRINGING YOURSELF OUT»
IS NOT A RESULT

«I want to be wrung out, otherwise I do not feel a result» — the most common mindset before a first session. Exhausting workouts with no time to recover.

Fatigue after a session is not proof that it worked. The proof is what changed in the body a week later.

Pilates rarely looks hard from the outside, but from the first session it is clear that it is far from easy. The difference is elsewhere: the load is balanced, the body works a lot but not on credit. So the pace is set not by the wish to «wring yourself out» but by how much you manage to recover.

Move at a pace that is comfortable for you. Give yourself time.

The second phrase almost everyone hears comes mid-set: «Three more… two… twenty-two more». And it works.

/ case

FIVE MONTHS AFTER
A JOINT REPLACEMENT

The case Yuliia recalls first.

A woman came after a hip replacement. Her biggest fear was doing herself harm — the surgery was recent and she was not sure she would ever train at all.

They started with the basics, slowly. Five months of work later she moves without fear — from everyday tasks to long hikes. And she feels far more confident than before the first session.

The timeline is not a promise: everyone has their own surgery, their own surgeon and their own limits. But the order is exactly this — trust in the body comes back first, load second.

/ boundaries

WHAT THE INSTRUCTOR
DOES NOT DO

So that you come with the right expectations.

Step by step, everything gradually. It will not be easy even during basic movements.

Yuliia Liashok
  • Does not give complex coordination work on the apparatus to people who have just started
  • Does not diagnose and does not lift limits set by a doctor
  • Does not work during a flare-up — a physical therapist first
  • Does not promise a result by a specific date
  • Does not sell packages up front
  • Does not take on the whole result: consistency is your part of the work

This is not for you if your goal does not match what the instructor does — and Yuliia will say so directly rather than start «trying something». If it is a flare-up of a musculoskeletal problem or a condition that needs a physical therapist or a doctor, you will be moved to a colleague in the same center.

/ result

WHEN IT BECOMES CLEAR
THAT IT WORKED

Not when you managed a difficult exercise.

The result counts as achieved when it stays in the body as a habit — and then becomes part of ordinary life.

You see it in everyday things: how you get up from a chair, how you carry a bag, how you feel at the end of the day. The exercise in the session is only the way to get there.

Yulia, after training with you there is always a feeling of being filled up.

THE DANCE THAT
NEVER ENDED

Yuliia is an active dancer. She has her own old injuries that need movement and specific exercises rather than rest — so she knows this from experience, not from a textbook.

Her personal essentials are the reformer and strength work. The rest of her time goes to everything connected with dance: technique class, new methods, work on her own skills. There is a lot of it in her life.

/ questions

WHAT PEOPLE ASK
BEFORE THE FIRST TIME

Briefly, what most often stops people at the door.

How fast will there be a result?+

This is the most common question and there is one answer: if the sessions are regular, we can progress. Without regularity any timeline is fiction.

Changes in how you feel usually show up before changes in shape: moving gets easier first, and only then it becomes visible from the outside.

I have never trained. Will it be too hard?+

It will be hard — but manageable. Yuliia does not give complex coordination work on the apparatus to beginners: basic movements first, and even they do not feel easy.

«Step by step» here is not a polite formula but a way of not getting injured in the first month.

I had surgery, or my doctor set limits. Is it allowed?+

Yes, if it is not a flare-up. The instructor does not lift the limits your doctor set — they become the frame the program is built inside.

If your condition needs a physical therapist, you will be told directly and moved to a colleague in the same center.

Will Pilates replace the gym?+

No, and it should not. Pilates gives control, mobility and the ability to switch on the right muscles. Strength work and cardio do their job better — Yuliia keeps both in her own schedule.
